Mirror | Chapter #3 | Life of a Celebrity

Isa or Isabelle as she preferred was a famous pop star in her late twenties.

She stood near her window in her luxurious bedroom thinking about how her life had changed so quickly while sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

Just a few years back she had dreamed about being a singer releasing her own songs, performing at concerts, having a fanbase and a luxury house. And there she was three years later having exactly what she wanted.

Even though she just released her first album only two years earlier she was bored of her new life. She couldn’t go anywhere without people asking for autographs and selfies.

She wanted to go back to that life when she was in school. Many people wouldn’t agree but her school days were her best days.

She lay on her bed thinking about the memories she made in school. She remembered her friends, her teachers, the hallways and the lessons she learnt.

She remembered her math teacher. He would give homework every day and whoever got everything correct would make them stand in front of the class while everyone congratulated them. No matter how hard it was, the students would work day and night just to get that appreciation from the teacher.

It was so fun back then she closed her eyes desperately wishing for a random fairy godmother to appear and make her wishes come true. She knew that it was all just fantasy but it wouldn’t hurt to try right?

She lay there wishing with all her mind. She opened her eyes hoping that she would have transformed into her old self.

But nothing happened. “It was worth a shot,” she thought to herself

And went downstairs to her kitchen making herself some breakfast.

She was a pretty good cook. Anyone who ate her dishes would ask for more.

She always liked cooking. Cooking would always be her favourite thing to do after singing of course.

During her day off she would make a variety of dishes from cuisines all over the globe.

Even when she went travelling her favourite thing would be to taste the local street food.

But she couldn't do that anymore since wherever she went people would recognize her and prioritize her over the other customers. She hated that.

She ate her breakfast while reading a novel. She finished pretty quickly and went to her bedroom again.

She continued reading the novel for another 20 minutes when she dozed off.

She was so tired that she slept for an entire hour. She woke up later and realized she slept off. She looked at the clock it was around 10:20.

She walked lazily into her washroom to wash her face

She washed her face twice and looked in the mirror

And upon seeing who she was she dropped to the floor full of shock!
