Mirror | Chapter #2 | Dreams do come true

Back in 4th grade when a talented pop star - ISA GARCIA debuted Evlyn didn’t care much about it.

But when her cousin sister Estelle made her listen to a song of hers called “Emotions” Evlyn instantly fell in love with it.

From that day that moment onwards Evlyn never missed any new songs, events or whatsoever.

She always wondered what a life a celebrity would live. She even dreamt about being a pop star herself.

Evlyn was a good singer and dancer too. She participated in lots of school programmes and she was even a member of the school choir.

She quickly realized that her biggest dream had come true!

She EVLYN DAVID FLORES had somehow magically turned into her favourite pop singer ISA GARCIA.

She freaked out so much trying to find a sensible reason for this outstanding happening with all laws of science and technology in mind.

But first, she had to know where she was she examined and without much difficulty, she got to know that she was in a washroom.

Suddenly a rather peculiar-looking man in his late twenties wearing all black and carrying an iPad stormed into the washroom like he didn’t even know the word privacy.

“Good morning ma’am just a quick reminder about the tracklist of tonight’s concert”

She realized tonight was Isa’s concert

She quickly realized she would have to perform! But how? She couldn’t perform! But if she didn't she would ruin someone’s career entirely she couldn't let that happen.

So what if she put on a small act pretending to be sick? Yes! “That is a perfect idea,” she thought to herself.

The man started listing all the songs for the concert

He literally took forever.

“Ummm I’m feeling rather sick. Is it okay if we postpone the whole thing to another day?” she asked shyly faking vomiting noises.

Now that’s when he lost control “MAM ARE YOU CRAZY! YOU HAVE TO PERFORM!!!”

Well, there was no going back now she would have to perform.

“Fine, I’ll do it, When should we leave?” she said all celebrity-like

“Okay, we’ll leave around 5:30, It takes about an hour to the venue, so we reach around 6:30 and the whole thing starts at 7 and ends at 9,” he said and left the room immediately.

Evlyn picked herself up and went into the room it was at least 10 times bigger than hers

He escorted her down the hall and she realized she was in Isa’s house, well more like a mansion.

She knew celebrities lived an expensive life but she never thought it would be so luxurious!

He showed her down the way and into the limo

They both seated themselves at the back

“So we only have a few songs today” he started

But Evlyn wasn’t paying attention, she was trying to make a logical explanation of how this ruckus happened

“So that’s it for the setlist. Good luck mam” the man said

“Uh huh,” Evlyn said paying the least bit of attention

After an hour they arrived at the venue.

As soon as she stepped out of the limo she was practically mobbed by hundreds of fans.

She had never thought it would have been like this for a celebrity.

She was quickly hurried backstage by all the security and got ready for the stage

They applied so much makeup that her head would have almost rolled off because of the weight! Then they got her ready on those big rising podiums.

She was going to perform in not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of people!! This was a dream come true!

She rose and got her cue to start singing. She was melodious, she sang all the words perfectly and got all the notes correct.

She was surprised when she hit that quite high note perfectly.

She finished with the first 4 songs and was hurried backstage again for an outfit change

She was again made to go on the stage to perform the rest of the songs.

She had such a blast that she had to keep reminding herself that she wasn't really a pop star and that she just had turned into one somehow.

The concert finished, she said a few words of thank you to the fans just like how Isa would say it and went back down on the podium.

She changed into some casual clothes and got back to her limo. She was so tired that she slept off like a baby.

They arrived at the mansion at 10 p.m.

She quickly changed into more comfy clothes and decided to hit the hay. Although she was tired she couldn’t sleep. She had to find out how she got here and how to change back.

Then suddenly she realized something extraordinary!
